I think it doesn’t matter. It shouldn’t be about Bibles but about JESUS and believe me He uses everything. There have been moments where He’s used The Message, or ESV or NIV. And if we are learning about Him then what…

I understand what you are saying…however, Some bible translations are extremly watered down and if you read them you don’t get the true meaning. I try to stick with the greek word strudy bible ( for the new testament) so I can personally translate the words bc english is very limiting. Ex. The different greek words for love : eros,philos,etc. I do understand your point though. People shouldn’t get caught up in who’s translation is better they should just try and seek the truth. A promise is a promise
Before my grandfather died my youngest brother promised that alcohol would not pass his lips..
To be just like my gpa who has never had an alcoholic drink. Ever.
I did not know my brother had made this promise… and it inspired me to make a promise to him. The same one of course… its beautiful and a ode to my grandfather who was an all around great Guy and servant of the lord.
His lessons are still with us til this very day. I am so thankful for that.
